SDL INTERNATIONAL ADDS ADDITIONAL VALUE TO SDLWEBFLOW THROUGH INTERWOVEN ALLIANCE

SDL Maidenhead , United Kingdom
04 April 2000

SDL International, one of the world's leading Internet product and globalization service companies, today announced a strategic alliance with enterprise-class content management solutions leader Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV). The agreement offers the opportunity to introduce the SDLWebFlow™ solution to Interwoven's global clientbase.

The alliance offers SDL the opportunity to integrate its products and services with Interwoven's open, standards-based content management product, TeamSite.

SDLWebFlow is designed to allow clients to keep their multilingual web sites synchronised with the content of the host language web site. The solution detects changes on the original site and implements a web-based workflow to enable rapid and cost-effective updates. Translation Memory software within SDLWebFlow is used to prepare files automatically, maximising previous translation investment and ensuring consistency.

SDL customers will benefit from Interwoven TeamSite software's robust features, including its advanced workflow capabilities, ease of integration and inclusive content architecture. Because TeamSite supports all content creation tools, local development teams can use the tools of their choice. TeamSite also provides an environment that supports multiple parallel projects through separate development "branches" which, in conjunction with SDLWebFlow, maximizes team efficiency and accelerates time-to-Web.

"This agreement between SDL and Interwoven marks a further increase in the strength of the SDLWebFlow solution," commented Mark Lancaster, CEO of SDL International. "By combining with the Interwoven TeamSite product, SDL will make it even easier for our customers to manage content across language barriers – a key component for the future of e-commerce."

"Interwoven is delighted to be working closely with SDL to streamline the management of globalized content," added Doug Mosher, Business Development Manager at Interwoven. "By combining the strengths of our two solutions, we facilitate the rapid and organised delivery of multilingual e-commerce opportunities in an industry driven by first and best to market."
